Visitors from the D/deaf community are invited to experience Toward Joy: New Frameworks for American Art in an American Sign Language (ASL) tour led by a Deaf teaching artist. After a brief meet-and-greet, discover how Black feminist and BIPOC perspectives create through lines and paradigm shifts in this presentation of more than 400 works, many of which were created by historically marginalized cultural producers.
Free; registration is required.
This tour is designed for the d/Deaf community in ASL only, without voice interpretation. If you are an ASL student, please email access@brooklynmuseum.org for more information about ASL student tours for those at level 3 or above.
